COMMUNICATION. DIED, in this city, on the 18th instant, Mr. JOHN MILLER, (brother to Jpfeph Miller, Esq.) a native of Cumberland, in Eng land. It i* not tmufual to pauegyrife the dead, whether they polfefsed great vices or great vir tues. There is a common-place language which is used on all occasions, and which is never con troverted, because it has its lburee in the .r.olL I amiable prtaicipka of the human hetrt. But in speaking of the merits or virtues oi John Mil ler, it is not necessary to ic-fert to any other lan guage than that which truth and candor might diftate. During his short refidenee in. this state he difeovered a probity—a goodness of heart, & an unreservedness in his general deportment which conciliated the friendfhip of every one with whom he became acquainted, and he was dis tinguiihed by the fame traits of character in hi3 native country. He had no vices. He difeov. ered no fears during his {hort illness, and he died with the resignation an coinpofute of a man who had every thing to hope for and nothing to dread at the tribunal of his God, He was 43 years of age, and he lias left behind him, in England, a father, a wife and children, to de plore his loss. The mamory cf this honed EnglUhman, will always be revered by his friends in this irate. DIED, in this city, on Friday Evening last, Mr. FRIEDRICH.
