(64) LOAN OFFICE, GEORGIA, June Notice is hereby given, that in con formity with the provisions of the aft supplementary to the aft, intitled “ An aft: making provision for the redemp tion of the whole of the public debt of the United States,” books will be open at the office of the cornmifTioner of loans for Georgia, on the firft day of July next, to continue open until the seven teenth day of March, 1808, incluhve ly, the fourteen lad days of each quar ter excepted, for the purpose of re ceiving (übferiptions for (uch parts of the old fix per cent, deferred fix per cent, and three per cent, flock, as may, on the day of fubfeription, (land on the books of the said commissioner of loans. Those proprietors of the old fix per cent, and deferred (locks, who may fubferibe, will receive in lieu thereof anew fix per cent, (lock, equal to the unredeemed amount of the (lock fur rendered, redeemable at the pleasure of the United States, under a proviso, however, tha tno rcimburfement shall be made except for the whole amount of any such new certificate of (lock, nor till after fix months previous no tree : and the proprietors of the three per cent, (lock who may fubferibe, will receive in lieu thereof, a fix per cent, (lock, equal to fixty-five per cent, of the amount of three per cent, surrendered, redeemable in the fame manner as the new fix per cent, above mentioned but not reimbursable, how ever, without the a(fent of the holders, until after the whole of the new fix percent, (given in exchange for old fix or deferred as above mentioned) as well as the whole of the eight per cent, (lock of the United States, shall have been reimbursed. It is also provided, that in every rcimburfement which may take place, a preference will be given to those creditors who may no tify their wi(h to be reimbursed ; and that if the applications to that effeft shall at any time either exceed or fall (hort of the sum then applicable to that purpose, the priority of payment (hall, so far as may be neceflfary, be determined by lot. They intend running the Rage twice a week, between Savannah and Darien, dat ing the winter, and will keep a light EX TRA STAGE for the accommodation of PRIVATE PARTIES, or others who may be disappointed in the Mail Stage.— They will also carry PACKAGES of GOODS, on moderate terms, and be res ponsible for their delivery asdirefted, arsy where along the line, (unavoidable acci dents excepted.)
