General Aflemblyof the State
of Georgia, patted at Louisville on
the Bth clay of December, 1806, it is
enacted that all the Fraftional Parts of
Surveys of Land reserved to the llate
by the several land laws making dis
tribution of the lands lately acquired
of the Creek Nation ol Indian*, lying
and being on the rivers Ocmulgee and
Oconee, and also on the pref'ent and
former temporary boundary lines
Hull be fold in separate lots, to the
highest bidder, in the Town of Mil
ledgevilic, in the following manner, to
wit

an advertisement in the Gazettes of
Petersburg}!, Washington, (Wilkes
county) Sparta, Augusta, Louisville
and Savannah ; in which advertise
ment (hall be particulatly fpecified

will be fold.

Notice is hereby given, that in con
formity with the provilions of the aft
supplementary to the aft, imitled 41 An
adt making prgviGon for the redemp
tion of the whole of the public debt of
the United States,” books will be open
at theoffice of the commiifioner of loans
for Georgia, on the fiirft day of July
next, to continue open until the seven
teenth day of March, 1808, inclusive
ly, the fourteen lad days of each quai
ter excepted, for the put pole of re
ceiving fubferiptions for such parts of
the old fix per cent, defeired fix per
cent, and three percent, flock, as may,
oh the day of fubfeription, Hand on
the books of the laid conimiilioner of
loans.
Those proprietors of the old fix per
cent, and deferred (locks, who may
lubferibe, will receive in lieu thereof
anew fix per cent. Hock, equal to the
unredeemed amount of the (lock fur
r. ndered, redeemable at the pleasure of
h United States, under a proviso,
however, tha tno reimbi*rfement shall
be made except for the whole amount
.of any such new certificate of Rock,
nor till after fix months previous no
tice : and the proprietors of the three
per cent. Rock who rftay fubferibe,
will receive in lieu thereof, a fix per
cent, stock, equal to fixty-five per
cent, of the amount of three per cent,
surrendered, redeemable in the fame
manner as the new fix per cent, above
mentioned but not reimbursable, how
ever, without the assent of the holders,
until after the whole of the new fix
percent (given in exchange for old
fix or deferred as above mentioned) as
well as the whole of the eight per cent,
stock of the United States, shall have
been reimbursed. It is also provided,
that in every reimbursement which
may take place, a preference will be
given to those creditors who may no
tify their wifli to be reimbursed ; and
that if the applications to that effeft
shall at any time cither exceed or fa!)
ftiort of the sum then applicable to
that purpose, the priority of payment
shall, so far as may be necettary, be
determined by lot.
The present Rock-holders who re
side in any part of Europe, and may
aflent to that modification, may, at
their option, receive the interefl ac
cruing on the new Rock, either in the
United States as heretofore, or in Lon
don or Amflerdam, at par; in which
lafl case, the interefl will be paid there
by the bankers of the United States,
fix months subsequent to the day on
which the fame would be payable in
the United States and fubjeft to no
variation; nor to any other deduftion
than a commifJoner to th.e bankers.
