There are few so ignorant as not to know that a work like this, if even tolerably executed, must possess intrinsic value. The compilation of this book is allowed by competent judges, to he performed In a very masterly manner} and the well known character of the gentleman whose name it bears, forbids the idea of any deficiency of industry or talent in executing the important seryicc confided to him by the Legislature. It is believed tnat every man who can conve niently buy this work ought to possess it, be cause it behoves every citnen to have some knowledge of the lawn of his country. The opinion expressed by Judge Blackstone is cer tainly correct that, "As every one is interest ed in the preservation of the Laws, it is in cumbent upon every man to be acquainted with those at least with which he is immediately concerned; lest he incur the censure, as well as inconvenience, of living in Society, without knowing the obligations which it lays him un der.” CONDITIONS. 'Ute^’ourney will be leisurely taken, to as to consume from four to five or even six weeks, dependent some what upon the the inclination or persons who may become passengers. Those who are disposed to engage xeats for the above described journey, can do so by ap plying to the Post master of Savannah. Priori- ly in tne choice of seats will be regulated by numbering the first applicant one, which will entitle »liat person to the first selection and so on to the last.
