NOTICE.
T HE amount of seven and six per cent Stocks
authorised lobe subscribed by the first sec*
tion of the act passed the 20th April, 1822, en
titled "An act to authorise the Secretary of the
Treasury to exclumge a Stock bearing an inter
est of five per cent, for detain stocks bearing
an interest of six ami seven per cent,” not hav-
ing been subscribed, the proprietors of six per
cent stocks of 1812, 1813,1814 and 1815, and of
leven per cent stock of 1816, who may wish to
•vail themselves of the provisions of the third
section of the act, are hereby informed, that
hooka have been opened at the Treasury for
receiving subscriptions pursuant thereto, and
will continue open until the first of' October
next.
The subscriptions may be made by the pro
prietor* of the stocks specified, either iu person
4)r by their attorneys, duly authorised to make
the subscriptions and transfer tlie stocks to the
United States, the certificates of which are to
be surrendered at the Treasury at the time of ,

Budge, and 20 mile* from Savannah, contain
ing two hundred and ninety acre* of river
uwutnp of the fu st quality, on an excellent pitch
of tide, two hundred of which are cleared and
underdams; and three hundred and fifty seven
acres of high land of mixed qualities, one hun
dred and fitly of which are cleared und fenced.
There are now growing on this plantation,
crops of cotton and rice, by the appearances of
which the qualities of the lands under cultiva
tion may be estimated.
There are a large and commodious barn, ma
chine and machine house, cotton, corn ami gin
houses, all nearly new ; an overseer's house, a
comfortable dwelling bouse, stables, chair
house, &c. negro houses for the accommoda
tion of from 56 to 60 negroes, and one of the
first springs of. water in the low country. There
is also attached to Cherry Hill a tract of five
huptlred acres of pine land, from which all the
lumber, rails, staves, &c, to be used on the
place, maybe procured.

twenty.two, this cause came before the Court,
on a Mandate from the Honorable the Supreme
Court of the United Stated for Further proceed
ings. Whereupon it is ordered and decreed—
That the holders of Notes of the late Bank of
the United States, bring them in for payment
at the late Banking House of said Batik in the
city of Philadelphia, before the eleventh day of
April, A. D. 1823, und that on that day this
Court will make a final Decree for Distribution
of the funds reserved in the hands of the de
fendant! for payment of said Notes i and His
farther ordered and decreed, that the Clerk
cause this order to be published in one public
newspaper in each of the fallowing places, to
witPhiladelphia, Boston, New York, ltidii-
more, Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah, and New
Orleans, at least once a week, for nine •calender
months, before the said eleventh day of April

O N the petition of the Trustees of the Ger
man Lutheran Church at Ebcnezer, stating
that the suid John Freyermuth on the fifteenth
day of April, eighteen hundred SJ fifteen, mort
gaged hy deed under seal tn the petitioners, all
those tracia of land, containing three hundred
acres in Effingham county, state aforesaid, on a
small creek adjoining Judidiah Weil man Kelly's
and Garrison's lamb also another fifty acres, sit
uated and being in the district of F.benezer,
bounded by laud of Peter Arnetoff & F. Brook-
new. at the time of survey granted to Landfel-
der; also,another tract of land situate in th^sev-
entceth district of the county of Baldwin, con-
taining two hundred and two and a half acres,
known hy the number (104) one hundred and
our, with the appurteminces, to secure the pay
ment of a bond or obligation of the said John,
bearing date the day and year aforesaid U pray
ing the foreclosure of the-said mortgage. It ap
pearing to the Court that there is now due on
the said bond and mortgage the sum of two hun
dred dollars, with interest at six per cent, from
the fifteenth day of April, eighteen hundred £if
eighteen. On motion of Wayne mid Cuvier, at
torneys of the petitioners, it is ordered that the
said John Freyermuth, his heirs or representa
tives, do pay into Court the amount due as a-
foresaid within twelve months from this date,
otherwise thaPthe equity of redemption of the
said John nnd his heirs, in the said mortgaged
premises, be foreclosed, and that such further
proceedings take place as are by law directed.
It is further ordered that this Rule be pub-
fished once a month for twelve months in a pub
lic gaaette of this state, or be served on the de
fendant or his representative or agent six
months prior to the time appointed for the pay
ment of the,'money into Court.
