W HEREAS 1 have been informed that
John Carnochan and Peter Mitchell
of this city have by sundry deeds recently
mortgaged and assigned to divers persons
either their individual creditors, creditom
of the lr.lv firm of Curnoclun 1$ llitchfll,
or others, all or sundry the property and
estate, both real and persona!, of the Mid
firm, as well us their own individual pro
perty and estate, consisting together of
loucea, lots, lands, stores, wharves, negroes,
kc. in Savannah and Da• ten in Georgia, or
the neighborhood thereof, and elsewhere
with their interest or share in 4lie stock
of the lower steam mill near Darien, ami
sundry shares in the United States Bank
and other hunks, us well sb sundry debts
due to them in various places, besides
lands, lots, negroes, &e. in the territory ol
Florida, and particularly one large tract of
land bought of Forties L4 Co* lying be
tween the rivers St. Marks and Apalachi
cola in the territory of Florida aforesaid.
These ate hereby to caution the public n-
gainst purchasing any part of the said pro
perty or eat ate so conveyed, or any other
property belonging to the said Cumochau
Mitchell, or either of them, us I hold pri-

imblic by a second notice of Mr Christie's,
who has undoubtedly claims against them,
which, when fluidly liquidated on the de
cision of the anil now pending, they will
try to satisfy au soon as possible thereafter*
The deeds under which Mr Christie claims
an exclusive right to all the real «md per- 1
sonal estate of Carnochan & Miichel, are
considered as informal, unjust and illegal,
Hence they have been brought and are still
before the court, and other deeds have
been executed and recorded, conveying
'Up property for the uiie of all thoir credit
ors, Mr Christie included, without any trust
or reservation hem tiohd to C. UM. or then
ftmilicsi and if this bo not agreeable to that
gentleman, it muRt nevertheless appear
fair and t quitablc to the public and all who
have b sense of justice.
The Trustees under the late deeds are
anxious to sell the Landsin Florida, alluded
to in the notice of Mr Christie, and to ap-
ply the proceeds tothe immediate payment
of putt of his demand, and deposit a sufli-
r.iency thereof to cover all his claim, sub
ject to the decision of the court—but his
oppos.tion to any reasonable sale, as one in
terested In his own right, whilst injuring
all parties concerned, must be borne until a
sale can be mude under an order of court.

German Lutheran Church at Ebenez
er,Stating that the said John Freyermuth
on the fifteenth day of April, eighteen hun
dred U fifteen, mortgaged by deed under
seal to the petitioners, all those tracts of
land,containing three hundred acres in Ef
fingham county, state aforesaid, on a small
creek adjoining Judidiah Weitman Kelly’s
and Garrison’s land; also another fifty acres-
situnted and being in the district of E,
benezer, bounded by* land of Peter Arne-
toff & F. Bronkners, at the time of survey
granted to Landfelder; also, another tract
of land situate in the sevinteeth district of
the county of Baldwin, containing two
hundred and two and a half acres, known
by the number (104) one hundred and
our, with the appurtenances, to secure the
payment of a -bond or obligation of the
said John, hearing date the day and year
aforesaid U pray ing the foreclosure of the
said mortgage. It appearing to the Court
that there is now due on the said bond and
mortgage the sum of two hundred dollars,
with interest at six per cent, from the fif
teenth day of April, eighteen hundred &
eighteen. On motion of Wayne and Cuyler,
attorneys of the petitioners, it is ordered
that the said John Freyermuth, his heirs
or representatives, do pay into Court the
amount due as aforesaid within twelve
months from this date, otherwise that the
equity of redemption of the said John and
his heirs, in the said mortgaged premises,
be foreclosed, and that such 1 further pro
ceedings take place as are by law direct
ed. •
'It Is further ordered that this Rule be
published once a month for twelve months

Laurel Hill Toll-Mill.
QrpilE Foil-Mill on Mrs. Ancrum's plan-
Staton has been completely repaired
lately, and is now ready to work as well as
any other mill on the river. The rough-
rice that will be sent to the mill will be
diept separately in dry and safe stores, and
shall be beat with the utmost care and
economy, and the barrells will bealways de
livered in good order. Empty barrels,
made of prime boated staves, will be furn
ished at the mill when required. The
terms lbr cleaning Rice will be the same
as at the other toll-mills. Those planters
who will engage to'have their crops beat
at that mill, and keep her supplied, will
have 200 tierces, or as much less as they
please, heat at one turn. Applications con

Brebner, on the Plantation, or in Savan
