Ilencc they have been brought and arc still before the court, and other deeds hav« been executed and recorded, conveying the property for the use of all their credit ors, Mr Christie included, without any tru.it or reservation beneficial to C. dM. or their families; and if this bu not agreeable to that gentleman, it must nevertheless spffcar fair and equitable to the public and all who have a sense of justice. % The Trustees under the late deeds are anxious to sell the Lands in Florida, alluded to in the notice of Mr Christie, and to op* ply the proceeds to the immediate payment of port of Iris demand, and deposit a suffi- ciency thereof to cover all hi« claim, sub ject to the decision of the court—but hit opposition to any reasonable sale, as one in terested in his right, whilst injuring all parties concerned, tffiist be borne until * ■ale can he mude under an order of court. W HEREAS I have been informed. tb*t John Carrtochan and Peter Mitchell of this cily have by sundry deeds recently mortgaged and assigned to divers persons either their individual creditors, creditors of the late firm of Carnochan d Mitchell* or others, all or sundry the property alul estate, both real and personal, of the said firm, as well as their own individual pro* K aod estate, consisting together of ss, lots, lands, stores, wharves, negroes* Ac. in Savannah and Darien in Georgia, or the neighborhood-thereof, and elsewhere with their interest or share in the stock of the lower^team mill near Darien, and sundry share's in the United State* Bank and other banks, us well as sundry debts due to them in various places, besides lands, lots, negroes, 8tc. in the territory of Florida, and particularly one large tr^ct of land bought of Forbes d Co- lying be tween the rivers St. Marks and Apalachi* colain the territory of Florida aforesaid.
