Com. Porter hoisted his broad pendant
on board the steam galley 'Enterprise, on

The gale of the 27th September, re
moved the Buoy on the Ship Channel, at
the entrance of this harbor, more than a
mile from its former position, and it has
never been repkteed—it is consequently
lost to all useful purposes. We are re
quested to notice this fact, and also to
state, that there ore at present no buoys at
all on the ship bar, and none have been
supplied. The Beacons, intended for the
safety of the navigation into the harbor
