thing about the troubles, 1 was walking in the
morning, after I had conic iir the dilejence,
on the brink of the RivprSiii, to look at the
navigation. 1 was goiifg to cross tlio Booty

I expected something or oilier was to pay.—

in tlieir hands already, But what a sojne.—
Tho streets all bombarded und burricadoud
with coaches, ull the paving stones dug up
and curried otf! Thinks 1 here’s a pretty
job for tlio Selept-inon. Then they pulled

tho like of tliut. Then l saw the whole thing
ns plain as day. The Bourbons are down.—
There going lo bo a new election for King,

thoie’s been a convention or the like of that.

street. Wo liad’nt got very far when bung,
bang a whole volley of musketry was fired ut
us. 1 tell you I timer heard whistling that
wus so unpleusant us that uro. Sure enough
there was an attachment of light dragoons,
and foul tigers they called them, right in our
way, blazing away ut us as liist us they could,
und wo liad’nt much more than a priming
amongst the whole o! us. We fell hack us
you may guess and they urtor us ; but here
they got it liundsomely. The paving stones
came rattling among tho soldiers from the
windows like a hailstone thunder storm.—
They fell like old trues before a hurricunc,
and it staggered them pretty considarably I
promise you. Just at this moment a young
chap with a handsome uniform on him, und
usword in hand, run up to the front where I
got shaved some how or other in the scrape,
'a 1 Japping his bund on my shoulder, says,
Ma Brav. Eir.says I, my name is Thompson.
Then says he,allous Mons.Tonson on avancc!

by his bravery, and cried out Vivaly Polly
Tcckniclc, which I understand is his mother’s
name. And if it is, slip need n’t l>e ashamed
of it, for sicli a boy as thatsho may be proud
of any day fn the year. Well on we went

tho convoyunce of out-voters. It is wej
known that the out voters in London and other
great towns will always sell themselves to
the uian who pays their expenses, and allows
them to visit I heir friends gratis. So proflj.

is impossible to get these men to tho poll til!
