The Gazette office was honored last
Friday, by a visit from Judge Shropshire
and his lady. The judge is very active
fora man of his years, while his bride
looks a greatdeal younger than he docs.

Last Thursday Mr. Hiles commenced
moving into his new store, 71 feet by 60,
the largest store in Summerville. The
maiu room, in addition to the counters
on each side, has three rows of tables
extending along the middle, giving room
to exhibit an immense stock of goods. A
room partitioned off to one side is
appropriated to clothing. The upper
story is devoted to furniture. The ware
house, 20x50, and a small room for
saddles, harness, etc., swell the total
space occupied to 10,000 square feet.
This does uot include the room for buggies
