GOOD COFFKK.
There is an old saying that tea is “the
oup that cheers, but not inebriates."
True enough; but still more true when
the saying is applied to good oolfee.
Some brands of tea have never known
China (until they get into the cup), and
are free from any suspicion of having
been handled by the dextrous fingers of
a Chinaman—heathen or otherwise.
Just so it may be said with truth as to
certain brands of coffee. They never saw
the sands of Arabia, the volcanoes of Java
or Sumatra, or the sunshine of Braxil,
'I he utmost ingenuity has been displayed
in the manufacture of coffee counterfeits,
many of them injurious to health.
The prudent housewife well knows the
importance ol sending Iter husband to
each day’s business armed against ita
annoyances and vexations by a cup of
coffee for breakfast. If he encounters
the various worries of life handicapped by
bad coffee as starter, she knows that sour
looks ami more sour temper will greet her
oil his return at night. To prevent all
such disaattous oeeurrenees. the surest
tueihod is to use Levering’* coffee. It is
widely and well known, and its purity
and unsurpassed drinking qualities have
establi died it in every household where
it has been introduced. It is composed
of carefully selected grades from a very
large stock of green coffee*. It is not
manipulated cbem oaliy or nth rwiac, and
there is riot a particle ol glaxing, coloring
or other deleterious matter in it. It is
exquisiiely roasted by the latest and most
approved appliances, and being the
natural, uncolored bean, it is impossible
to use any but good coffees in its prepara
tion, a inferior grades would be at onee
detected by their imperfections, which
are hidden by glazing and other processes
used in many brands of roasted coffee.
If. ou want coffee —want it pure, delicious
and unadulterated, ask lor Lcvaring’s,
get Levering’*, take none but Lcreriug’s,
and you have what you want.
