A superior new Steam Boat called “David Crockett” with two powerful Engines, and several first rate freight "boats have been built since the close of the last season and placed on the line. Steam Boat Pioneer, Capt. Goodwin, “ “ David Crockett, “ M'Cormick, will ply rcgulaily between Darien and. Macon, one of them leaving Darien about once a week with freight boats in tow. Steam Boat CHARLESTON* Capt. Bonnell, will run constantly between Darien and Savannah, aud afford the greatest despatch to Cotton. The subscriber’s whole attention is devoted to facili tating transportation between Macon and the Sea Ports. He has invested a large sum to put his line in the most complete order, and believes that his arrange ments fo» giving despatch to freight and keeping it in good order, while in his care, will make it the interest of Cotton Shippers and .Merchants ordering goods, to continue their favors. At Darien he has secure and convenient Warehouses for reception of Goods, and his Wharves there are covered with sheds* which enables him to keep all Cotton shipped on his Boats under shelter and protected from the weather, while landed for reshipment. H AVE the pleasure to return their most grateful acknowledgements fortheliberal patronage they have received from the merchants and tiieir friends, & would solicit a continuance of it, which they hope to merit by the prompt attention to all cotton or goods shipped by the Line. In addition to the Steamboat cel and their tow boats now in use, The Company have now building a new Steamboat, with ten new tow boats, all of the best materials and pxpressly adapted to the navigation of the Ocmulgee and Altamaha rivers. These increased facilities will afford the Company the means of giving despatch to goods intended for the interior, and will furnish in ducements for merchants west of the pcmnlgee river to ship their goods by the way of Darien nnd Macon. There are five first rate Packets running regular be tween New York and Darien, which come to Hawe and Mitchell, the agents for the Macon Steamboat Company. Agents for the ahore Boats : J. It is intended that une of the vessels shall always be at each end of the line taking in freight, and will sail regularly about once in ten days.
