YEAST POWDERS.
r llESEpowdcrs are an admirable substitute for
Yeast iu making all kinds of Batter Cakes; and
have Ihe advantage over that article in making ihe
batter perfectly light and ready for baking the instant
they are mixed. Buckwheat and other cakes, when
made with those -powders, are less likely tn disagree"
with the stomach, than those made with yeast; and as
it requires but a few minutes to prepare for baking,
the possibility of having them sour is entirely avoided

Mu. R. S. Bernard,
.Sir :—1 am greatly opposed to any thing like quack
ery, hut when lrefiuct upon tlie good your Invaluable
Remedy for Cholera has done, and might continue to
do. if made generally known, I am willing to throw
aside any thing like prejudice and freely give my of
pinion upon your uieuicine. In tuy situation ol life
it frequently happens that diseases of eveiy kind
come under my observation. But tlie major part of
them seem to be at this season ofthe year premoni
tory symptoms of Cholera—many of which no doubt
prove fatal for want of such a preparation as yours.
Now, sir. this Remedy for Choleia (asyou coll it) is
the very thing that is wanting to stay the progress of this
distressing d scase. 'i his 1 speak fr« in exprenco. L
have not only used it repeatedly in my own family,,
but have administered it to many others and I can w itlx
truth say its effects have surpassed my most sanguinri
expectation; in several cases where the bowel-? were,
in a most deranged state, other remedies had been
administered until really the patient was in great dan
ger of dying, and from simply giving a does or two
ofyonr Remedy for Cholera as described, immediate
relief was fonnd. In one instance I used it upon tv
servant,-i member of rr.y family, that was Iaboniiug-
nntier a dreadful bowel complaint, spasms aud von.-i- ;

prehensions that she would die- But aftergiving one
dose ofyonr Remedy for Cholera the vomiting censed,
tho pains gradnaliy disappeared, and the next day ebc-
entirely recovered. 1 have also used this medicine
with children troubled with l ev el oi snn.ner ccpi

most willingly do I recommend it to all m v acquaintan
