HEAD AND BELIEVE! 1 !
This Remedy has been used by many eminent
Physicians, some of whom have charge of the largest
Hospitals in th* United States, where the Cholera, has
prevailed to a great extent, and been fatal to intem
perate, aged, and lunatic persons. Their confidence
in this Medicine is such, that they say they are not a-
fraid of the most inveterate coses of Asiatic Cholera-
when taken in time.
The following arc «ily a small propomtion of the
certificates I have oflhe efficacy of this certain Rente-
for Cholera. Those opposed to quackery, will at once
see this is nothing of the kind—tor those persons who
have subscribed their names to these certificates, live
among ns, and arc known to be men of the first .mind
ing, and upon whose word the utmost reliance can be
placed.
Norfolk July 17, 1835.
Ala. R. S. Bernard,
Sir :—I am greatly opposed to any thing like quack
ery. hut when 1 reflect upon the good your Invaluable
Remedy for Cholera 1ms done, and might continue to
do, if made generally known, I am willing to throw
aside any tiling like prejudice and freely give my of
pinion upon yonr medicine. In niy situation of life
it frequently happens that diseases of,cvery kind
come under my observation. But the major part of
them seem to he at this season of the year premoni
tory symptoms of Cholera—many of which no doubt
S tove fatal for want ofetich a preparation as yours
ow, sir, this Remedy for Cholera (as you call it) is
the very thing that is wanting to stay the progress of this
distressing disease. This 1 speak from cxpreuce. 1
have not only* used it repeatedly in my own family,
hut have administered it to many others and I can with
truth say its efleets have surpassed my most sanguine
expectation; in several cases where the bowels were
in a most deranged slate, other remedies had been
administered untilveally the patient was in great dan
ger nfdying, and from simply giving a docs or two
of your Remedy for Cboleia as described, immediate
relief was found. In one instance I used it upon a
servant, a member of my family, that was labouring
under a dreadful bowel complaint, spasms and vomi
ting—for some time my wile and self had serious ap
prehensions that she would die. But aftergiving one
dose of your Remedy for Cholera the vomiting ceased,
the pains gradually disappeared, and the next day she
entirely recovered. I have also used this medicine
with children troubled with bowel or summer com
plaint, and in no case lias it failed to cure them;
most willingly do I recommend it to all my acquaintan
ce*, and hope all pnidentpersonswill avail themselves
el jo valuable a medicine.

Gallifhan’s Fill*, though useful for all disease? which
originate in a superabundant collection-of bile in the
stomach, are more particularly intended for Fever and
Ague. In ilic first place they cleanse, strengthen a id
givo tone to the stomach and bowels, and create a new
dnd healthy action throughout the system. Titov pro-
aitrea natural and permanent appetite r they defend
the system against now or subsequent attacks of the
disease; they assist the various operations of nature by
cleansing the system of nil vitiated, corrupt and acrid
humors, and that invigorate and reanimate the whole
frame. Possessing a purgative quality, they cannot
remain in the bowels to produce such other diseases
as often follow the injudicious treatment of the fever
and agne. They arc composed entirely of vegetable
matter, and may be taken by persons of both sexes
and of all ages, without the /cast danger of unpfeasan
consequences. In fine, the public are assured that
Gajligliau’s Pills possess those inestimable virtues
which aro requisite not only to arrest, but to eradicate
and destroy the last seeds of this mo il distressing ma
lady of the human family. The proprietors solemnly
pledge themselves that they do not contain a particle
of mineral* in any shape or form, hut are composed
entirely of simple vegetable substances either separately
or combined, and which without regard to sex or age
are perfectly harmless ia their effect* upon the human
system
