medicines to suit them, by sending their symptoms in wri
ting as correctly as possible. It i * not presumed that his
medicines will reacn all cases 80 a» to cure them, but it will
hardly be doabted that ifproperly and carefully, adminis

might be greatly benefitteJ, and in many instances finally
cured.
His medicines are taken from Nature’s laboratory, pre

of men are as nothing, or if possible, worse, as twj day’s
experience so fully demonstrates. But to the testimony.

Dr M. S. Thomson t
Dear Sir—I am happy to be able to inform you that the
health of my negro woman Roda, since she lelt you has been
steadily improving, till now I consider it nearly re estab
lished. Not having seen her while with you in Macon, I
was but littlff prepared to witness, without astonishment, the
great change that had taken place in her appearance, for in
stead of the thin, ematiated and broken down person- that I
sent you, she returned nbo it the best looking negro upon
the plantation. When she left here I would have aken a
ten dollar bill for her, now slie is worth fifty tiinesOt,-. tmucli.
I am also happy po inform you that I have never had the
least return of any of the symptoms of that distressing com
plaint of which you so unexpectedly cured me three years
ago, after Drs. Slappey, Dupree,Tomblin A Cummins', lour
of the most eminent of the faculty in these parts, had failed,
and the complaint had run on me. for upwards of fifteen
years. I confess that when you said you thought you could
cure me I had very little faith, but now am convinced most
thoroughly that their failure to cure disease is no good rea
son why such disease should be pronounced incurable ; and
am also convinced that complaints even oflongstanding may
be finally eradicated, if the use of proper remedies is re
sorted to; it has at leastheen so in my case, and as I am in
different as to who knows it, I will, for the benefit of those
similarly afflicted state that my complaint was gleet, and am
well assured that the publication of this fact, should you
think it proper, would carrv iov to the hearts of many now
hopeless of relief, by pointing them to where tney may ob
tain a remedy.
Wishing you every success in your laudable efforts to
advance the stan lard of true medical science, I'subscribe
myself yours with every sentiment of respect.
J J -OBEDIAH ADAMS.
I have been cured of a disease similar to the above, by
Dr. Thomson, after having bad it for upwards of twelve
months. THUS. K. FULLER.
Monroe Co. 13th Jan. 1843.
This may certify that my son John has been afflicted with
lumbago, or rheumatism, for upwards of two years, in that
time he had been subjected to very severe attacks, during
which he was unable to walk or even stand, and when lay
ing down was unable to rest in any other position than on his
abdomen, suffering acutely in painful misery.. In this situ
ation I applied to Dr. Thomson, of Macon, who soon re
stored him to comfortable health; he has had no attack in
the last twelve months. JOHN BURGY, Benr.
Macon, 19th Jan. 1843.
This will certify that I have been afflicted with rheuma
tism for Jive years, sometimes in such agony that I could
neither sit nor stand, and with difficulty he down, during
which time 1 found nothing that could benefit me, till I ap
plied to Dr. Thomson, who with one prescription entirely
cured me. in the short apace of three weeks. I have had
no return of it in eighteen months.
SAMUEL IIOWELL.
Maconcounty, 10th Jan. 1843.
This may certify that for upwards of two years I have
had a disease in my chest, which was frequently very dia-
tressiog,' sometimes almost stopping my breath, in soch a
way aato make me believe that my end was near. I often
suffered greatly from pain, which deprived life of its pleas
ures and almost made it a burden. I was in this state when
I applied to Drs. Thomson A Woodruff, who, 1 am happy
to say, soon restored roe to my usual haalth, which I have
enjoyed now near two years without having any attack of
my old complaint. ELIAS A. AV ALLACE.
Macon. Ga. 6th April 1842.
About 6 months ago I was violently attacked wiih scute
rheumatism, the pain of which was so excrutiating that I
could neither get in or out of bed, or even undress myself
without assistance, and would often cause me to cry like a
child. I was treated by one of the best mineral Physicians
in the city, hut without apparent benefit, for I continued to
get worse till I applied to Dr. Thomson, who soon eradica
ted the disease from my system, and leftme in better health
than I had enjoyed in eighteen months.
