The Ceutral Rail-Road is now completed and in operation, from Savannah to within 2J miles of our Depot, and will bo completed to Macon early this fall. This Road is in daily operation to Griffin. 60 miles above Macnp; and. by the first of December, wilt be opened for Business to Leakville, 21 miles above Giiflin; and to the junction wuh the Western and Atlantic Rail Road, early next spring. That portion of the Road originally laid with the thin plate Rail, has been rebuilt this summer, and laid with heavy flange Rail, and the whole Road from Macon to Griffin, is now in good order for business. Merchants living in tl.e upper part of tbe State, will find it decidedly to their interest, to" ship their goods by way oj 8avannah.over the Central and this lhail-Road consigned to our A gents, as goods can be haulc'd from Barnesville or Griffin, to Columbus, for 45 a 50 cents per 100 pounds, or any other jiartof the country at proportionable rates.
