of Pulmonary affections nptl those laboring under the most
distressing Colds and Coughs. They do not cheek and dry
op the cough, but render it easy, promote expectoration, re
lieve congestion, allav the tickling or irritation, and remove
the proximate or exciting cause. They are made from a
combination of the most valuable expectorant, nr Cough
Medicines, and are undoubtedly superior to every thing in
use forth«ie complaint*. Hundreds upon hundreds of cer
tificate* have been offered of their wonderful virtues, from
those who, it is justly thought, lmve been saved from an un
timely grave, and restored to perfect health, by using them.
Death itself has already deprived of life its hundreds and
its thousands, whom this valuable medicine might have sa
ved, if it had only been taken in time. How important it is.
then, that every individual should attend to the curing of a
Cough, which uas such a powerful tendency t > undermine
the constitution before the least dancer is suspected. A de
lay of a few days often proves Tatal.~ No medicine will be
found tnor* efficacious than these Lozenges; they are as
pleasant to the taste es sucar Candy.

Messks. A. B. Sa.vds 5c Co.—Sirs: Most gratefully do
I embrace this opportunity for stating to you the great relief
1 obtained from the use of your Ssrsapariila. 1 shall also
he happy, through yc. to publish t<> all who are afflicted,
as I lately was, the account of tny unexpected, and even for
a long lime despaired of cure. Mine is a painful alnry, and
trying and sickening as is the narrative of it. for the sake ol
many who may be so surely relieved. I will briefly yet ac
curately state it.
Nineteen vearsago last April, a fit of sickness left me with
in Erysipelas eruption. Dropsicalcollection* immediately
took place over the entire sut face ol'tny body, causing such
an enlargement that it was necessary to add a yard tn my
dresses around the waist. Next followed upon my limbs,
ulcers painful beyond description. Foryears.botb ill sum
mer and winter, the nnlv mitigation of tny sufferings was
found in pouring upon those parts cold water. Kroin .tty
limbs the pain extended over tny whole body—there was
literally forme no rest, by day or by night. Upon lying
•iown, these pains would shoot through tny system and com
pel mein arise, ami f->r hours.together, walk the house, sir
that I was almost entirely deprived ot sleep. During this
time tbe Erysipelas continued active, and the ulcers enlar
ged, aud so deeply have these eaten, that for two and a half
yearsthey have been sebject to bleeding. During these al
most twenty years I have consulted many physicians. These
hare called my disease—as it was attended with an obstinate
cough and a -teady and active pain in my side—a dropsical
cnnsumpsiori; and* though they have been skilful practition
ers, they wet e only able to afford inyrase a partial and tetn-
pirary relief Iliad many other difficulties too complica
ted to deicribe. I have also used many of tbe me licines
that have hern rec unmended as infallible cures fur this di*.
ease, yet these all failed, and 1 was most emphatically
growing worse. In this critical condiliim.given up by friends
and expecting for niysell reliefonly in death. I was by the
kind interposition of Providence, furnished with your, to
me. invaluable Sarsaparilla. A single bottle gave me an
assurance of health, which for twenty years I bail not once
felt. Upon taking the second my enlargement diminished,
and in twelve days from the 6th of October, when I com
menced taking your Sarsaparilla. I was able to enjoy sleep
and rest by night as refresuing as any I ever enjoyed when
in perfectLca'th. Besides, I was ia this short time, relie
ved from all those excruciating and unalleviated pains that
bad afflicted my days, as well as robbed me of-my night’s
repose. The ulcers upon my limbs are healed, the Erysi
pelas cured, 5c my size reduced nearly to my former meas
ure.
Thus much do I feel it a privilege to testily to the efficacy
ofyour health restoringSarsrparifia. A thousand thunks,
sirs, from one who-e comfort and whose hope of future
health are due under G«d, to your instrumentality. Ami
may the same Providence that directed me to .vour aid.
