Three white men are held at the bar
racks subject to warrants.
William Williams, a tow-boat captain,
was arrested and lodged in jail yesterday
5 drunkenness, and abusing his wife.
William Freerson will be up before his
honor to-morrow. Judge Wilson, on a
charge of “drunk and disorderly,” and
kicking up a row on the schooner Julia
Ward.
• Walking” Isaac, a suspicious charac
ter, was arrested yesterday. Ho had a
coat in his possession which he was try
imr to pawn. His case will come up next
Monday morning.
The afternoon connection to Augusta
via the South Bound at 4:10 o’clock, has
been broken on account of the discontin
uance of the afternoon train on the Port
Kc\al and Augusta railway.
The fourth annual ball of Acorn lodge, I.
0. O. F.. will be given at Odd Fellows hall
Wednesday night. Arrangements have
been made to insure an exceptionably en
