Wright Wlioin He Prevented From Going to the National Convention. Atlanta, April 3.—Henry Rucker, collec tor of internal revenue, and Will I. Mose ly, a clerk in his office, were indicted by the Fultcti county grand jury to-day on a charge of libel. Rucker says the indictment was inspir ed by R. R \\ right of Savannah, because he, Rucker, had been instrumental on two or three occasions, notably in March last, in preventing Wright from becoming a delegate to the National Republican Con vention. The Indictment of the two men is direct ly attributable to an article which appear ed in the Republican Leader, a newspaper published in this city. In tin* article it was claimed that Augusta F. Smith, an instructress in tlie state school for ne groes at Savannah had been divorced by her husband for being untrue to him. Rucker is alleged to furnish the money to run the paper, and he and his clerk, Mosely, are charged with being jointly responsible for the appearance of the ob jectionable article in the Leader. Rucker says that he owns no stock in any paper and that Wright is attempting to break into the National Convention by instigating a suit against him in the courts of this state. He says Wright has been here several days pushing the mat ter. < FEE ANO SALARY (H ESTIOA. May Be Voted on in the Primary in Fnlton County-. Atlanta, April 3.—Chairman Albert Howell of the Fulton County Executive Committee has called a special meeting of that body for next Thursday, April 5. The object of this meeting Is to consider the resolution introduced by Judge W. T. Colquitt at a meeting of the Executive Committee, a few days ago, having refer ence to the people voting on the ques tion of fees or salaries for the county offi cers at the state primary to be held May 15. t At the last meeting the resolution was not taken up, Chairman Howell rul ing at that time that! as the question of fees or salaries had not been mentioned In the call for the meeting, it could not be considered at that time. The grand jury' has recommended that county offi cers be placed on a salary basis in lieu of the presen fee system. . The Atlanta Business Men's League hies cordially approved the recommendation of the grand jury. The Chamber of Com merce also strongly indorses the plan for a vote on the question of fees or salaries. FOUR DOCTORS INDICTED. Tlie Result of a Crusude Against the Alleged tjuneks. Atlanta, April 3.—As a result of the crusade which has been instituted by the doctors of Atlanta against the alleged quacks now operating in the city, four lndlclments were found to-day by the Ful ton county grand jury. The defendants are Prof. W. R. Price, Dr. John Swanson, Dr. W. C. Van Valen and Dr. G. K. Woodward. An effort was made to Indict Dr. M. C. Harding, the osteopath, and a number of citizens who knew of patients Dr. Harding had treated were (tailed before the grand jury. The showing made in regard to Dr. Hardin’s treatment was such that the Jurors decided not to indict him. Dr. Price Is at the head of a psycholog ical Institute on Peachtree street in this city. Dr. Swanson belongs to the school of osteopaths. Dr. Van Valen is said to be a psychologist. Dr. Woodward is at the head of a medical Institute in the Grant building. LARGE SHORTAGE!. Heart trouble, at least among the Ameri cans, is certainly Increasing and w'hile this may be largely due to the excitement and worry of American business life. It is more often the result of weak stomachs, of poor digestion. Real organic disease Is incurable; bu: not one case in a hundred of heart trouble Is organic. The close relation between heart trouble and poor digestion is because both organs are controlled by the same great nerves, the Sympathetic and the I’neumogastric. Tn another way also the heart is affect ed by the form of poor digestion, which causes gas and fermentation from half digested food. There is o feeling of ‘op pression and heaviness in the chest caused by pressure of the distended stomach on the heart and lungs, interfering with their action; hence arises palpitation and short breath. Poor digestion also poisons the blood, making it thin and watery, which irritates and weakens the heart. The most sensible treatment for heart trouble is to improve the digestion and to insure the prompt assimilation of food. This can be done by the regular use after meals of some safe, pleasant anl effective digestive preparation. like Stuart’s Dyspepsia Tablets, which may ho at drug stores, ond w'hlch con tain valuable, harmless digestive elements in a pleasant, convenient form. It Is safe to say that the regular, per sistent use of Stuart’s Dyspepsia Tablets at meal time will cure any form of stom ach trouble except cancer of the stomach. FUNERAL. INVITATION*.
