COMMITTEE WILL NOT MEET
UNLESS A MAJORITY OF THE MEM
BERS REQUEST IT.
Chairmnn dnllignon and Vice Chair
man Brown AVIII Not Call State
Democratic Committee to Act on
Chatham's Dlepnte—Solicitor 0-
horne Has Sent lleqncsta to Com
mit teemen. lint So Far They Have
Not Been Heard From.
Atlanta, April 30.—The State Democratlo
Executive Committee will not he called
together unless a majority of the memb r
request it and this request must come
from the members voluntarily, as both
Chairman dußlgnon and Vice Chairman
Brown absolutely refuse to send out any
request to or canvass among the commit
teemen themselves.
This Is In accordance with the precedent
recently established by Chairman dußlg
tion when an effort was made to reconvene
the committee for the purpose of rescind
ing Its action on the registration require
ment.
Since Solicitor General Osborne preferred
his request to both Chairman dußlgnon
ond Vice Chairman Brown, the two latter
have been In telegraphic correspondence
regarding the matter, and while Mr. di>
IBignon left the matter to Vice Chairman
Brown’s discretion, It Is understood that
the recent precedent will be strictly ad
hered to.
Bequests were sent out from Savannah
yesterday to each member of the State Ex
ecutive Committee asking that the com
mittee be re-convened. These requests
only reached their destination to-day, and,
of course, the members have not had ttms
to communicate their decision to Vice
Chairman Brown. It Is expected that it
will ’be the latter part of the week, before
a sufficient number of letters are received
from the committeemen by Vice Chair
man Brown for him to determine whether
a majority requests a call.
So far the vice chairman has received no
request for a call from any of the com
mitteemen.

Atlanta, April 30 —The day was con

J. B. O'Meara, formerly traveling sales

state put up over two dozen witnesses,
merchants from various parts of the state
who traded with the Dodd company. The
defendants showed checks for a lapge
amount of the alleged shortage, contend

in over-charging, discounts, etc. The
state charged that he would collect checks
from certain merchants and divide the
credits up between them and other mer

Second Tame on Earth
No Bolls Nor Carbuncles Now —A
Good Blood Medicine.
“ I became convinced of the merit
of Hood’s Sarsaparilla when I took it
myself as r. blood purifier. So, when
my husband had boil* and carbnncles I
urpred him to take Hood’s and the re
sult was that when he had nsed but
one bottle the boils had nearly all dis
appeared. Ho continued the use of
the medicine and after taking two
bottles he was completely cured, and,
as he expressed It, felt as if he was on
earth for the second time. He has
never had any boils since. We take
Hood’s as a spring medicine and gladly
recommend it.” Mrs. A. E. Statsa,
Yonkers, N. Y.
Scrofula from Birth.
“ I have found Hood’s to be the
greatest blood purifier I ever took,
and I have tried many medicines. I
was a sufferer with scrofula from
birth. My ryes were so badly affected
I would be almost blind for a week
at a time. My neck began to swell
so that I could not breathe freely.
Medicines failed to do me any good
until I began taking Hood’s’ Sarsa
parilla. Today I have excellent health
and my eyes give me very little
trouble. I owe it all to Hood’s, which
I recommend to till suffering from any
disease of the blood.” Miss Ketth.
McGuire, Silver Creek, Ky.
That Tired Feeling.
“ I cannot say too much for Hood’s
Sarsaparilla as a remedy for that tired
and worn out feeling one has in the
spring. Asa strength builder and
appetite creator it has no equal.”
Mrs. L. B. Woodard, 285 Ballou
Street, Woonsocket, R. I.

IVn m Made With Her Money.
Atlanta, April 80.—After trading and
trafficking on her money for seventeen
years, accumulating a very snug fortune,
Mrs. Mary J. Rucker, now, after the death
of her husband, the late Banker J. W.
Rucker of the Maddox & Rucker Bank
ing Company, alleges that he cut her off
In his will with only nn annuity of SIO,OOO,
which Is to terminate at her death, and
then go to relatives of Mrs. Rucker.
She sues to recover SIOO,OOO, half of the
estate. Mrs. Rucker says that on May 28,
1872, she turned over to her husband, as
trustee for her, $9,000, which she had re

two stores on Peachtree street. On Aug.
1, 1890, it is claimed $3,000 more was turn
ed over lo Mr. Rucker.
Mr. Rucker is alleged to have had little
means of his own. He carried on the
business of trading In real estate, taking
title in his own name as a matter of con
venience, but always recognizing It was
his wife’s money he was handling, and so
expressing himself to various persons, it
Is alleged. Mr. Rucker engaged In the
