Oxygenated Hitters.
iloail the following letter from Caleb Parker, E«q.,
of Concord, N. H. ( a mm honored and egteemed by
all who know him :
Gentlemen. — With no deposition io make my
name conspicuous, I take the opportunity to state
to the afflicted the benefit I have derived trom the
ui»e of l>r. Green's Oxygenated Hitters, and to re
commend them to others. For two years I have
been troubled with indigestion and its attendant
evils, such as flatulency, constipation, severe at
tacks of diarrhoea, accompanied with water brash at
tho stomach, which reduced me iu flesh, strength,
and spirits, so low that I was nearly unfitted for bus
iuess. I applied to several physicians, from a horn I
obtained only temporary relief. I concluded, with
theadvicc of frieuds, but without the least faith in
their efficacy, to try the Oxygenated Bitters, from
tho use of which I found immediate relief, having
no return of water brash after taking tho first por
tion. My weight has increased some thirty-five Its.
and my health is perfect. I can truly say that I con
sider the Oxygenated Bitters the best remedy ex
tant. I have recommended them to several, who
have invariably found great benefit from their use.
Yours respectfully, CALEB PARKER.

CAUTION! !
O UR very gratifying success, particularly this
Fall, iu pleasing all who have examined our se
lection of DRESS GOODS, has in some quarters
made us tbe subject of considerable envy, and fur
nished occasion for disparaging remarks. Our
friends, ~kenever they hear any such, in relation to
either tbe quality, quantity, or price of our Goods,
before believing them, will do us the favor to call in
and see for themselves. We may state that we can
not prevent underhanded efforts on the part of some
to sell their Goods, nor can we condescend to retal
iate. We can only invite an examination on the
part of those who, without reflection, might be for a
time deceived by such misrepresentations or “tricks
of trade,” as they are denominated, by those who
stoop to USO them.

Tho Driggs’ Patent Piano Forte.
I am now ready to answer the oft repeated ques
tiou, “Who makes the best Pianos 7” I answer
unqualifiedly, DRIGGS, PAK.MALEE A CO., of
New York. I hsvebeeu toning Pianos22years, and
claim to Understand the instrument thoroughly. I
have been North expressly to ascertain who mokes
the best Pianos. I have seen every part of the
Driggs Piano, and several other celebrated ones, iu
process of being made. The Driggs piano far excels
sll others, in two very important particulars, viz:
volume and sweetness of tone, and capacity for stay
ing iu tune. The tone is produced as much as pos
sible like tbe Violin, there being two sounding-boards
convex outwards. Thoheavy. thick planks, blocks
and braces are. done away with, so a chamber is
formed for sound. The power and sweetness of tone
is equal to that of the best Grand Piano.
The capacity for staying in tune depends on n new
ly invented Iron Frame, or bed-plate, which sustains
ail the strain, and is entirely free trom tho vibrktory
part of tho Instrument. There is a great improve
ment iu the manner of putting on the Strings, they
not being liable to rust or to jar at their bearings,
and in the arraug6ment of the dampers. The flanges,
hammers, back catches, and every part of the action
is made in a manner that cannot be excelled. Tfcfl
following is from Thalberg
“ Mr. 8. B. Driggs—I have examined your new
Fiano Forte, and cordially approve of its’system of
construction; its principles by which great incresse
ofvibrstory power is obtained, being very simple
and perfectly philosophical. Tbe tone is grand and
noble. - It hasgreat capacity for sustaining tbe sound
Binging, ana its volume of tone, or power, I have
