Dr.E. PABSONS, Sandersville, Washington county,
Ga., says:—My observation is that Mapes’ Super
phosphate is a preventative against rust in Cotton.
Has about doubled the Cotton and trebled tho Com.
Has done better than Peruvian, pound for pound.
J. W. SCOTT, of the same section, reports that his
crop, manured with Peruvian Guano, was far moro af
fected by drouth and cxcessivo rains than whero
1 Mapes’ Superphosphate was used. ’Shall use Mapes’
in preference to any Fertilizer he has seen used by his
neighbors.
"W. n. SPARKS. Eatonton. Ga., reports:—On land
about half covered with^sedge, and which had not
been cultivated in two years, where the manure was
put in badly, manured crop would yield two pounds
where tho unmanured would yield one.
B. B. HAMILTON, Americas, Ga., reports; Ob

W. J. ANDERSON. Fort Valley, Ga., reports ;-
Mapes’Superphosphate has doubled the crop of Cot
ton in every case reported, and some report it has
. moro than doubled their crop. On Wheat and Oats
tho result was very satisfactory.
D. A. WARNOCK,Beach Branch, SC.,Teports:—
In land which always rusted Cotton, increased tho
crop two-fold, as fine Cotton as ho has seen this year.
Prevented rust. Four rows unmanured rusted in Au
gust. Everything the Mapes Superphosphate was
tried on did well. Cotton stood the cold wcathzr iu
Spring, kopt perfectly grecn-and grew finely. Has
heat Peruvian Guano in his neighborhood. Believes
it to bo tho best manure now in nso.
P. C. PENDLETON, Valdosta, Georgia, writes
Mapes' Superphosphate has exceeded my most san-
guino expectations. Tho effects of its uso on Corn.
Peas and garden vegetables was most marked. If it
can bo always kept up to the present standard, it must
take tho lead of all other Fertilizers now in use.

reports:—As compared with Peruvian Guano and
Mapes’ Superphosphate, tho result was decidedly in
favor of Mapes’ Superphosphate, attributable beyond
doubt to the fact that tho ravages of tho rust were
not, by a marked difference, to be seen where it was
applied, a3 where tho other manures wero.
JAMES McMEEKIN, Alston. S. C„ reports .—Used

ly sandy, with clay sub-soil. 3Iarked difference in
size of bolls in favor of tbo Mapes’Superphosphate.
On cabbago plants tho increased growth was about 100
percent.
JOHN R. HAIR, Mims, S, C.:—Cotton was made
vigorous and healthy, and matured at least two weeks
earlier whero -Mapes’ Superphosphate was used, as
compared with other Fertilizers. Mapes’ Superphos
phate produced 100 pounds per aero moro Cotton than
Rhodes’ Snpbosphospbato and 50 pounds per acre
more than Soluble Pacific Guano. Same quantity of
each (150 pounds) used to the acre; cultivated in the
samo manner. Mapes’ Superphosphate moro than
doubled tho yield of cotton.
R. J. VENNING. Christ Church Parish, S. C.. re
ports:—One application of200 pounds Mapes’Super
phosphate per aero made the Cotton grow to the
height of 6ix feet, where it grew only two feet the
year beforo. Considers Mapes’ Suporphosrhato the
BEST FERTILIZER FOR SEA ISLAND COTTON,
and would safely recommend it to all planters.
S. C. MEANS, Spartanburg, S. C., writes:—Used
240 pounds per acre, applied May 18th. Can snfely say
neversaw a more vigorous growth imparted to Cotton
from tho uso of any manure. Satisfied tho uso of Jj’OR DEBILITY, LOSS^ OF APPETITE, lflil
Mapes’ Superphosphato pays hundreds.
AY. A. MEUIIYETHER. Yallo Curcis, near Colum

given perfect satisfaction, and that it permanently
improves the soil. Has no hesitation in saying it is
tho special manuro for Turnips and Irish Potatoes.
M. B. HUNTER, Quitman, Ga., reportsApplied
