Mote, late ofsaid county, deceased. JOHN W. MOTE, Adm’r of junel2-w2m* John P. Mote, dec’d. FOB PURIFYING THB BLOOD. Tho reputation this cx ccllent medicine enjoys, is derived from its cures, many of which are of e truly marvellous char acter. Inveterate case* of Scrofula, where tht system seemed utterbr given up to corruption, Have yielded to this com pound of anti-strumou3 virtues. Disorders of a scrofulous type, and af fections which are merely aggravated by tho presenco of scrofulous matter, have been radically cured in such numerous in- publio’do not need to bo informed hero that it is in most cases a specific and absolute remedy. Scrofulous poison is one of the most destructive enemies of our race. Often, this unseen and unfelt tenant of tho organism undermines the constitution, and Invites tho attack of enfeebling or fatal diseases, without exciting a suspicion of its presence. Again, it seems to breed infection throughout tho body, and then, on some favorable occasion, rapidly develop into one or other of its hldoous forms, either on the surface or among tho vitals. In tho latter, tuber cles may bo suddenly deposited in the lungs or heart, or tumors formed in tho liver. These facts make tho occasional use of the ^Sarsaparilla as a preventive, advisable. • It is a mistake to supposo that so long as no erup tions or hnmors appear, there must be no scrofulous taint. These forms of derangement may never occur, and yet tho vital forces of tho body be so re* duced bv its subtle agency, as materially to impair the health and shorten the duration of life. It is a common error, also, that scrofula is strictly heredi tary. It does, indeed, descend from parent to child, but is also engendered in persons bom of pure blood. Low living, indigestion, foul air, licentious ‘ ■' .and the depressingvice3g( ons, where not crallv, produce it- ,, v-uuj wuhw^wumo, >,umw uu* fortified bv tho most constant and judicious care, aro pecul(arlv liable to it. Yet tho robust, also, whose turbid blood swells the veins with anappar- ently exuberant vitality, are often contaminated, and on the road to its consequences. Indeed, no class or condition can depend on immunity from it, nor feci insensible to the importance of an effec tual remedy. In St. Anthony’s Fire, Rose or Erysipelas, fbr Tetter, Salt Rheum, Scald Read, Ring worm, Sore Ears and Eyes, and other eruptive or visible forms of tho diseases caused primarily by the scrofulous infection, the Sarsaparilla is so ef ficient as to be indispensable. And in the more concealed forms, as in Dyspepsia,Dropsy, Heart Disease, Fits, Epilepsy, Seuralgia, and other affections of tho muscular and nervous systems, tho Sarsaparilla, through its purifying power, re moves the cause of the disorder andproduces aston ishing cures. The sarsaparilla root of the tropics does not by itself achieve these results. It fa aided by the ex tracts combined with it, of still greater power. So potent is this union of healing virtues, Syphilis or Venereal and Mercurial Diseases aro cured by it. though a long time is required for subduing thesa obstinate maladies by any medicine. Xeueorrheea or Whites, Uterine Ulcerations, and Female Diseases in general, are commonly soon relieved and ultimatelv cured by the invigorating and puri- fving effect of our Sarsaparilla. Rheumatism and Gout, often dependent on the accumulations of extraneous matters in tho blood, have their remedy also in this medicine. For Fleer Complaints, torpidity, inflammation, abcess, etc., caused by raakling poisons in tbo blood, we unhesitatingly recommend the Sarsaparilla. This medicine restores health and vigor where no specific disease can bo distinguished. Its restora tive poweris soon felt by those who are Languid, Zistless, Despondent’, Sleepless, and filled ilany, &1L . w General Debility, have written us of the youth ful vigor imparted to their nervous systenvwhicll seemed buoyant with that prolific life they thought had departed on tho advance of age. Others, whose fountains of life were always sterile, achnowladge their obligations to it for an obvious change. Ayer’s Ague Cure, TorFever and Ague. Intermittent fe ver, (bill fever, Remittent fever, tlnmb Agne, Periodical or Biiious fever, Ac., and indeed oil tbe affec tions which arise from lualarioas, marsh, or miasmatic jioiaona. As its namo implies, it does Cure, and does not fail. Containing neither Arsenic, Quinine, Bismuth, Zinc, nor any other mineral or poisonous substance whatever, it in nowise injures any patient. The number and importance of its cures in the ague dis tricts, are literally beyond account, and we Dehovo without a parallel ia the history of medicine. Our pride is gratified by the acknowledgments we re ceive of the radical cures effected in obstinate cases, and where other remedies had wholly failed-. Unacclimated persons, either resident in, or travelling through miasmatic localities, will be pro tected by taking tho AGUE CURE daily. For Fleer Complaints, arising from torpidity of the Liver, it is an excellent remedy, stimulating tho Liver into healthy activity. Prepared bv Dr. J. C.
