Many days of hard and tedious work on the part of the auditors were re quired in checking the returns of the various boys entered in the campaign. They completed their task late Friday evening and submitted their findings to the committee ol judges-, who in turn canvassed the work of the boys and ex amined into the methods iemployed. by the auditors. _ Signed certificates of both auditors and judges are presented herewith. The , announcement of winners is made by them and without suggestion from The Journal or any of its officials. The schedule of coupon allowances was never changed from beginning to end of the campaign. No bonus coupons and certificates were allowed, and none were given on nominations. Every boy entered in the campaign had aji equal opportunity for success. Only the names of the winners are published, although the auditors checked the standing- of each boy. Under the rules, the winners of the Washington trips are prohibited from disposing of them to any ope else. TRAIN LEAVES MARCH 2. Realizing that th e suffragette parade on Monday, March 3d, will prove one of the most spectacular features of the inauguration festivities. The Journal has decided to change the date originally fixed for the departure of its special train from Monday, March 3d, to Sun day, March 2d, at 11 a. m. standard time. Another important reason for making this change was the fact that so many special trains will be running into Washington on March 3d and 4th that, there is a possibility of serious delays being encountered by a train scheduled to arrive in Washington March 4th, jn- augura^on day. The railroads will be so taxed to handle the enormous traffic on that ^day that they were reluctant to guaran tee the arrival of The Journal’s train on scheduled time. The Journal is not willing for its guests to miss any of the inauguration festivities, hence the change. Only the members of The Journal’s party will travel' on the six-car Pull man train which this paper has char tered. No tickets for this train will be sold to outsiders. It will leave from th© Terminal station promptly at 11 a. m., Sunday, March 2d, arriving in Washington efirlv Monday morning.
