To Every One.
Mr. Marcel, located nt G4S Broadway, Kansas
City, Mo., 4ias published a book entitled “Secrets
of the Whiskey Trust Exposed;’’ and “Why Is
Marcel a Socialist;" in which he shows how the
whiskey trust takes a bushel of corn, a pinch
of barley malt, a penny’s worth of yeast, ana
uiakes five gallons of whiskey at a total cost of
less thau 50c: and then sells it at from four
to fire dollars a gallon. He explains how the
whiskey barons make their millions and shows
who pays for U»elr mansions and automobiles.
The book is a I inutiug story of a great crime
against the consumers of whiskey.
Mr. Marcel is mailing out thousands of these
books exposing the secrets of the whiskey trust
on account of the Trust’s fight against him. Any
one interested should write for the book, as It

Cured His RUPTURE
1 was badly ruptured while lifting a trunk
several years ago. Doctors said my only hope of
cure was an operation. Trusses did me no good.
Finally I got hold of something that quickly and
completely cured me. Years have passed and the
rupture has never returned, although I am doing
hard work as a carpenter. There was no opera
tion, no lost time, no trouble. I have nothing to
sell, but will give full information about how you
may find a complete cure without operation, if
you write to me, Eugene M. Pullen, Carpenter,
833 Marcellus avenue. Manasquan, N. J. Better
cut out this notice and show it to any others
who are ruptured—you may save a life or at
least stop the misery of rupture and the worry
and danger of an operation.

NEW YORK, Nov. *20.—A bullish view of
now differences established by the exchange re
vision committee yesterday seemed responsible
for an opening advance of 2 to 12 points in
cotton, but there was heavy realizing und pres
sure from spot houses and prices soon showed
a net loss of 3 to 6 joints. Offerings were
well taken, however, with the market later
working b&ck to about yesterday's closing.
Part of the early buying was attributed to
spinners.
Trading was quiet later in the morning with
fluctuations narrow and irregular. Talk of
fnll ginning returns at the opening tomorrow
morning secerned to offset the bullish view of
the revision and old longs seemed to be re
ducing their lines on rallies, while there was
covering and some trade buying on the set
backs.
Reports of lower southern spot markets and
continued talk of bearish ginning returns seemed
to cause rather more general selling during the
early afternoon with active months easing off
to a net loss of 5 to 10 points.

NEW ORLEANS COTTON
(By Associated Prees.)
New Orleans, Nov. 20.—Cotton futures opened
quiet at an advance of 1 to 3 points on good
cables and the spot revision in New York,
which was generally considered bullish. Con
siderable buying was in evidence arounif the
call and the most active months stood 2 to 4
points over yesterday's close. No real strength
developed, however, and whe nbears increased
their offerings of short cotton prices broke
rather sharply about 10 points, the trading
months lauding 5 to 0 points under yesterday’s
final figures. This decline did no tlast long,
for the market was nervous and unsettled
and shorts who wanted profits put prices up
on themselves. At the end of the first half
hour of trading the market was 1 to 2 points
up net.
The morning session was featured by narrow
and nervous fluctuations with no decided trend
either way. Both sides were plainly waiting
on tomorrow’s ginning report by the census
bureau, in regard to which opinion was much
divided. Both longs and shorts liquidated their
holdings when turns in the market favored
them. At noon the tone was quiet and prices
were 4 to 5 points down.

PENALTIES INCREASED
ON LOW GRADE COTTON
NEW YORK, Nov. 20.—The revision commit
tee of the' New York cotton exchange sit its
meeting here last night increased the penalties
on low grade cotton by from 10 to 85 points,
making low middling 125 points under middling
and placing good ordinary cotton at a (Msconut
of 300 points, comparing with the old differ
ences of 80 and 215 points, respectively. High-
grade premiums also were increased slightly,
and the most general comment of brokers, who
had stayed downtown to receive the report,
was that the committee had adjusted the dif
ferences to meet the requirements of a low
grade crop.
The following shows the grade, old differ

COTTON MARKET OPINIONS
Morris II. Rothschild & Co.: We look for a
more active trading market.
Hayden Stone & Co.: For the time being
conditions are not such as to inspire bullish

E. F. Hutton & Co.: We should not be sur
prised to see lower prices.
Shearson, Hammill & Co.: Think prices will
probably go some lower before there will, be
an upward move of consequence.

I
N less than two weeks from to
day the auditorium-armory will
be a live, wide-awake, Interest
ing place for any one to spend a
day inspecting the thousands of
chickens and pigeons that will be
brought together on the first day of
December at this great show. At
lanta is so well suited and has such
a magnifeent building for public ex
hibitions of this kind that it makes
it one of thy best cities in the
United States to bring together the
people and the breeders once a year
and let the world know what the
breeders have been doing during the
year. If we could come back every
year to these shows and find the
other fellow Where we left him it
would be an easy matter to win, but
in this day and time every one is
pushing forward and comes back
stronger every year and with a big
improvement over what they had the
previous year. Therefore, we will
see this year a far better class of
birds exhibited at the auditorium
than was shown last year and fully
as many in numbers. Specimens so
perfect that it seemed impossible to
produce will be brought out at this show, and any one by visiting this show
can learn by a talk with the exhibitors how it was possible to accomplish
these wonderful results. On the other hand many a bird will win at this
show that people thought it was not possible for such birds to win. As a
rule in nearly every poultry show where a class was unusually strong last
year and it was utterly impossible to win in this class this year will prob-
abily find that variety shown in much smaller numbers and is much easier
to win in than the previous years. This is invariably the case and often a
breeder can slip in a big show and win on specimens that the previous year
it was impossible for him to secure a place on such birds. I have noticed
this particular thing year after year and find it invariably the case. It
is a funny thing but nevertheless a fact that many breeders who show in a
strong class and probably not get a place that year they will neglect going
back to that same show the next season for fear the same thing will be re
peated, but the thing for them to do is to follow up the next season with
a stronger and better entry and in nine cases out of te^i they will be able
to win the second year where they could not do so the first. This will be
the case at Atlanta and in many cases this year that showed the biggest
entry last year will not be near so full as they were last year.
However, some varieties that did not show so many birds last season
will contain this year large numbers and many will have an opportunity they
can never do if they stay away. It i s worth $1, which is the entrance fee,
to have your birds exhibited before the large number of people who will at
tend this show. Sealed leg bands with the name of the association on them
will be furnished for every bird entered, and to sell a bird with one of
these bands on it will add more than $1 to its selling value as it gives
this bird a reputation and the buyer knows that they are getting a bird of
quality because no one would enter anything but a good bird and pay $1 en
trance fees at a show of this class. Hundreds of sales will be made during
the show this year that could not be brought about otherwise, and hun- *
dreds of orders will be booked for eggs for hatching during this exhibition.
To have your birds passed on by experienced judges^ and noted breeders such
as have been selected to place the awards at this show will give your birds
a reputation itself that is worth much to you and your future breeing oper
ations, and the opportunities offered to the breeders at this show are such as
neyer have been presented to them before in the history of the south.
It has required a lot of hard work and lots of money to establish and
maintain the Southern International Poultry association, but this is the third
show that this association has conducted and year by year it is gaining
in publicity and strength and has become the same to the south as the Mad
ison Square show is to the east. Birds that win at this, show are capable of
winning at any show in the United States and any breeder who can produce
a winning bird at this show knows that he has as good as science can produce
can produce, and it stamps on your bird a qualfty that is so much desired
by everyone. It gives one a reputation that it takes years to build, and an
honor won at the Southern International
Poultry show can not be estimated in
dollars and centu by any breder.
Yours very truly,
(To Be Continued.)
