COTTON—The import from July 9th to the 16th, was 5 346 bales From N Carolina 250, S Carolina 648, Virginia 115, New Orleans 734, Georgia 3499—The late advices from Europe have given an impulse to the Cotton market,and sales and shipments were made to the extent of several thousand bales. Some choice uplands, between 2 and 200 bales, went of at 16} cents, other descriptions at about last week’s quota tinus. A lot of uplands and Alab of about 500 bales, was sold yesterday at 15} ctr. FLOUR— Rather more has been done in this art'de within a few days, but in some instances, at lower rates than were obtained last week. It is understood that considerable Western Flour is about being shipped, a part of which on the holders account— N. York sup j$5 50 a S 62, Western do 5 62 a 5 75, Richnioud City 5 62, Balt 5 50 a 5 75. RICE—Importation 72 tierces, 2 half do - 'This article has been very heavy the present week, and, with the (inception of »bout200 tier, sold at £3 5-8, we have heard of no transactions.
