Long assignee of the nn derwriters at Lloyds,ih London, in tlie Kingdom of Great Britain, the supposed insurers oftii'e Ship Albion and cargo, has exhibited his libel or complaint, in the’District Court of the U- nited State*, for the District' of-Georgia, stntlug alleging an3 propounding, that the British Ship Albion, laden with Mahogany, Logwood, nnd di vers other articles, was, on the morning of the 16th September last, by the force of the wind and waves driven on the bench of Saint Catherines Island, in the District aforesaid, and there' aban doned by hcrcrew i nnd that much of the cargo has floated out of the snidSbip, some partof which has been taken by George 11. Johnston, Patrick Houston und George M. Waldburg, aud by divers other persons, to a place of greater safety,. and that part thcref still lies on the beach of said Island, below high water mark exposed to tho sen That the Agent ot the underwriters at Lloyds, un der the impression that the said Ship ana cargo were insured at Lloyds, has for the benefit of till concerned, sold the interest of the said underwri ters aforesaid, therein atpublick sale to John W. Long.
