The negotiations with the Creek Indi
ans at Broken Arrow have been suspend-
cd for the present. The Georgia Journal
says, we understand they found not much
difficulty, in arranging the groituds of u
treaty with MTntosh and his chiefs, for all
the lands within oltr boundary. But ns
the commissioners were expressly instruc
ted to treat with the Creelt Nation, nnd as
M’Intosh alia 1 his adherents constitute hut
a part of the nation, nothing could lie done
without a modification of the instructions.
Col. Campbell, one ofthe commissioners
goes forthwith to Washington, nnd will
personally exert himself to procure such a
modification of the instructions, under
which he, in conjunction with the other
