intended to be a public win chouse, in
Hamburg, for tho storage of cotton and
tobacco.— A tobitcoo inspection to be kept
therein. This warehouse, for convenience
and safety from fire, if not superior, is in
lerior to none in this pait ol the country—
It is 300 feet in length and GO feet in width
with a plank floor—situated in the centre
of the town, oil the hank of the Savannah
River, and within 100 feet of tho stream.
The other three sides are bounded bv
streets, one of 160 feel.one of 100 feet,and
one nf HO ,eet. Two platforms will ex
tend from the warehouse to tho river ; so
that cotton will be pul on boats without
touching the ground, except when the liv
er is very low.
RATES.
For Inspection and Storage
of Tobacco for 6 months,

burg merchants havo supplied themselves
this season, with more goods of all hinds
than m any former period, particularly
such as salt, iron, sugar, coffee, bagging,
dry-goods, Ate. Several new stoies have
already opened, and others will open very
shortly The usual spirited disposition
prevails to give as heretofore, ai least as
much, if not more, for cotton, than in any
other city or town in the up*r.ountvy.

and should other be taken in tho market,
or should any monied institution in which
he market and country are interested, go

prudent, immediate notice of it will be gi
ven, without fear or favor.

interest to favor us with their custom.
