The Savannah Steam
Rice Mill.
T HIS establishment commenced ope
rations for the season, the beginning
of this monih, and having beat all the old
rice nn hand is now in complete order for
the reception of the new crap, I ravine plen
ty of room nnd separate bins for each lot.
The mill will be kept going night and day
as soon as the supply will warrant it—It (a
now ascertained that from 80 to 100 bar
rets can be cleaned in the 24 hours " (he en
gine and machinery being first rate" so that
planters sending rice to this mill may cal
culate within a few days when they can re
ceive it ready for market,- The mill will
furnish barrels whenever required at 87 I -2
cents each, and- will land rough rice from
