number! it appears to be a serious evil
that sp valuable an utricle should be so res
tricted, that comparalively few should be
able (o enjoy what Is so conducive to gen-
oral health in the hot weather'of our sunt

Geo. W. Carpenter is pleased to nnnounce
the preparation nf the above powders,' con
taining nil the essential substances with
which these celebrated Springs are impreg
nated, and fiom which the waters of the
Congress Springs at Saratoga ate precise
ly and effectually imitated. With a view
to accommodate the public, and to brirfg
into general use so convenient and valua
ble n substitute for thesb waters, he has
been induced to go very extensively Into
the manufacture of them, to put tlieut.*l a
prico lo lie whhin the reacli of most, per
sons. For rite accommodation of the pub-
lie, agonts, will be appointed in all tho ci
ties and principal inland towns to give a
general circulation tn so useful an article
throughout the country. The public are
recommended to make trial of these pow
ders, as he finds by experience, and from
the opinion of tho most eminent of the fa
culty, that tho water mode from them pos
sesses the some medicinal qualities, is as
effectual in its operations,. and precise in

as they are equal in medical effect to that
