Article IX.—Tho prolongation of tho war, to which tho present treaty of peace happily puts an end, havingfoccnsinned to tha Imperial Court of Russia considerable expenses, the Sublime Porie recognises Ihe necessity of offering it an adequate indem nity. For this purpose, independently of the cession uf e.smsdf portion of territory in Asia, stipulated by the fourth article,w hich th* Court of Russia consents to receive on account of the said indemnity, the Buhlime Porte engages to pay to the said Court a sum of money, the amount of which shall he regulated by motual accord. Article X.t—'The Sublime Porte, whilst declaring its entire adlieteance to the stipu le mon of the treaty concluded in Lnndon on the 24th of June, (ttioOth of July) 1827, l.etwreen Russia, Great Britain and France accedes equally to the act drawn np on the lofli of March < (22d) 18*9,by mutual con sent, between these same power*; on the basis of tire laid treaty, aVid containing the arrangement of detail relative to its defin ite execution.
