One drop of oil of black pepper, added to six grains of quinine, will greatly increase the powers of this remedy. Extract of Quinine. This is tlio resid uum ofthe preparation of Quinine. Two grains are fully equal to one of the former; and, os il is less Ih.inono third the price, il is of course much cheaper to the practition er titan the sulphate. Citratcd Kali, for extemporaneously making the saline draught. Ouo drachm of this salt dissolved in four ounce* of *«• tor instantly forms the neutral mixture, e quat and similar in every respect to that made from fresh lemon juice.
