AN ACT To add iho territory lyins within the eharteted limits of Georgia, anil now in the occupancy of the Clteerukee Indians, to the counties of Carroll, DcKalh, Gwin nett, Hall and Habersham, mid to extend the laws of this state over the satire; and to annul all laws and ordinances made by lire Cherokee Nation of Indians, and lo pro vide for the compensslion of ofiiuers serv ing legal process in said territory, and to regulate lire testimony of Indians. &.C.— [Tire first past of the act defines lire por tion of the unlocated territory which is at taciied to each of the above named coun ties All the laws both civil and criminal of the state are extended over said portions of territory respectively, and all persons whatever residing witlring the seme, after the 1st day ofJune next, to be subject and liable lo the operation’of said laws, in lire same manner as other citizens, of this state; and writs & processes issued try the couris, or officers of the counties to extend over end operate on the portions of territory added to the same respectively.
