on which the citizens ol Georgia qualified
vote for members of the Legislature

has attained the age of twenty five years,
and been an inhabitant of tins State seym

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, Tha
each member returned as duly elected,
shall previous to taking his seat in said
Convention, tak& the following oath, or
affirmation.viz: I, A. B do solemnly swear,
that I will not attempt to add to. or lake
from the constitution or attempt to change
« r alter any other section, clause or arti
cle of the constitution ol the State of
Georgia, other than those touching the
representation in the- General Assembly
thereof; and that * have bteo a citizen of
this state for the last seven years, so help
me God. And any person elected to a
seat in said Convention, who shall refuse
to take the oath aforesaid, shall not be al
lowed to take his seal iu said Convention
Sec, 5. And be it fu r therenacted, That
the members of said Convention shall as
semble on the first Monday in May after
their election, at Milledgeville. in th Re
presentative Chamber of the. Slate House,
for the purpose of entering upon and con
summating the great object* of their con
vention, to wit: s reduction and equaliza
tion of the General Assembly; shall have
power to prescribe their own rules and
forms o business, and to determine on the
qualifications of their own members; elect
uei casary officers, and make all orders
winch they may deem conducive to the
furtherance of the object for which such
< uvention shall assemble.

it shall be a fundamental article in the
formation or amendment of the Constitu
tion, that each county of the State now
uiganized or hud out, or which may here
after be created by law, shall be eutitled
to at least one representative in the re
presentative branch ol the General Assem
bly.
dec. 8. And dx it further enacted, That
so soon as this uct shall have become a
law, His Excellency he Governor, be,and
he is hereby required to cause it to be
published in the vlazcttes of this State,
once a week until the day fixed on by this
act for tho election of delegates to said
Convention: and that all ,aws and parts of
laws militating against thjs act, be, and
the same are hereby repealed.

T HE design of this work is to give a
selection of the moot' interesting
articles and the moat important informa
tion, contained in the principal foreign li
terary journals t-a design which, it is ho
ped, may contribute to promote the lite
rature ot our country, even if but imper
fectly executed.
The selection will not be confined to
English journals, but translations will be
furnished and information collected from
hose of the continent ot Europe. The
most interesting und important parts of
articles which it may not be advisable to
pu 1 dish entire, will be given. Means will
be taken lo obtain ihe journals used, by
(lie earliest opportunities.
Condition's.—^hc Work will be pub
linked in Roston, in quarterly numbers,
making 2 vols. a year, of about 500 pages
each.
The once will be $5 per annum, paya-

TIMBER required to complete the frame*
of one frigate and of one sloop of war, to
be delivered at Portsmouth,N, II., aod for
one entire frame for a ship of the line, to
be delivered at the Navjr Yard,New-York;
there will bo required to complete the two-
frames, to bo delivered at Portsmouth, a*
bout 19,000 cubic feet, *

Will be lurmshed to the contractors: per*
sons wishing to offer can obtain, by apply
ing to the commandant of the nearest Na
vy Yard, a schedule of the piecte which
have been furnished. „
Tho offers must auto separately tho
prices per cubic foot for each frame, th#
whole to be subject to the usual inspection
and measurement, and to be delivered on
or before the lat day of Jane, J835.
Ten por cent, will bo reserved from each
payment to be made, aa collateral securi*
ty, io addition to the bond which win tio
required, and will not bo pahj until 1 tho *
