WASHINGTON, Jan. 24.
Mr. Wise concluded his speech yosterdoy in
answer to Mr. Adams, in relation to all tho facts
and cause of tho fuiluro of tho Appropiiation
Bill at the last session His speech was n very
good one, and elicited much attention and com
mendation ; ho charged tho whole fault to Mr.
Cainbrelcng, tho Chairman of tho Committee of
Conference, and adduced many documents and
other evidences of any irrefutable character, to
substantiate his nllirmation. Mr. Cambreleng,
after Mr. W. concluded, gave notice that he
would reply to ‘ what had been ullcgod against
him, ami at tho snuio time gave tho House to un
derstand tlmt he should make some home-thrusts
which would reach a certain Sonutoi from whom
the charges preferred against him Imd originated
in Philadelphia last year. Alluding, it is sup
posed, to Mr. Wobsier. Mr. « aiubrcieiig will
probably reply to-morrow, when wo shall see in
wii.it manner he will explain this mutter.
Little or no business was done in the House
yesterday. Mr. Adams, in tho course of Mr.
Wise’s speech, interrupted him, and endeavored
to mitigate the allegation ho had made the day
before, against Mr. Webster, hut only placed
himself in n still more unenviable position,
Tho nows from Florida received to-ony, is of
