BWAIM'S VERMIFUGE. .
T ill remedy counteracts tho whole tram
of diseases, arising from the debility of the
digestive organs or u depraved condition of the
stomach otuTbowels.
Most of the diseases children originate in
verminous affections,
Worms destroy the nourishment which is in
tended by nature to support life.
The immediate otVoct of Swaim’s Vormifuge,
are to trauquilize the stomach, clear it of ooiduous
phlegm, disupete superfluous *bilo, increase tho
grastrio juices and promote liealtliy digestion,
It alloviates sick headache, and is an antedoto
for the Cholera Morbus of our country, dimun,
lbvertmd ague, and tliat class ol diseases which
owe their origin to a disordered stato of tlio sto
mach or bowels.
This romody expels worms by giving healthy
action to the stomach and organs of digestion.
There is uoUiing in its composition to kill worms.
They are seldom seen uller its use, und tlio pa
tient Uuprovess iu health, color and appetite.
Those remedies whichkill worms, must ofcourso
injure the stomach materially, and the cause of
many serious complaints. This fact lias boon
materially neglected by tlio faculty, and tho er
ror has neveroeuiidiscovered until Swaim's Vcr
mifttge proved it to the entire satisfaction of
every fuiniiy who has used it..
Tne medicine is no loss ollicacious iu many of
tlio diseases of grown persons, by dissi-
piling tlioso morbid secretions which produce
dysentery, diarrim, cholera morbus, piles, fevor
and ague, dyspepsia, acidity of,the stomach,
foul breath, uud the disagrecuble ulfeclions con-
senentupon billious disorders.
it is now in general use in most parts or die
world. Families resident in tlio country travel-
lears going into tlio interior or voyagiug mto dis
tant tropical climntes, (insulated from medical
talent) would find Swaim's Vermifuge of great

tions by neglecting to apply the pioper remedies;
to such, Swaim's Panacea must be and has been
more than doubly valfteblo as a certain and ef
fectual means of restoring thorn to porfecthealth

from scorbutic affections, which exhibit various
symptoms, us eruptions, ulcerations, debility, loss
of appetite und dejection, ull arising from impure
blood, nnd if not properly utteudud to, produces
tho greatest injury to tho constitution, and may
ho imparted to their offspring. Swaim’s Panacea
is recommended at this season of tho year ( as an
invaluable restorative of tile system, thereby in
vigorating the constitution and enabling us to
hear the debilitating effects oftho summer sea-

corrects their tendency to nil those diseases which
originate in a via’tedbfood, diseased liver, deprav

KOWAND'S TONIC MIXTURE,
OR VEGETABLE FEBRIFUGE.
A spcctficand lasting cure for Fever aud Ague.
T HIS worthy romody earnestly repels the
slur of being a quack medicine, it having
been the result ofmnuy year's study, experience
and lubor, in the medical practico and ohsetvn}
lion of Fever mid Augue. It is composed ofsnch
medicinal principles ns wore considered most lit
to restoro tho harmony of action between the
Stomach, Li vcr,and the other important functions
of the system, the loss of which harmony is evi
dently tne immediate enuse of disease. It speed}
ily promotes a tegular nnd healthy appetite, which
is generally eulirelv destroyed oi rendered very
procarious; by which effect.vigor and strength
is soon afforded to tlio whole system, ft must be
apparent to all, that a medicine possessing these
peculiar virtues, is useful in a groat variety of
complaints. By renewing the healthy action of
the digestive organs, it has proved itself of re
markable benefit in Dyspepsia, Depraved Appc}
tile, Ileart-bnrn, Water Brash.Flatulency, Jniin"
dice,Night Swents,Dysentery,Bowel Complaints
nud many other affections of similar origin. But
it is in tlio treatment of Fevers, and especially in
Fever nud Ague, or Intermittent Fever, that its
powers have been principally, tested, nud with
those who.havo seen it4usefulness,it is pronoun
ced sovereign to nil remedies heretofore discov
ered for those disease*. It has also been used ns
a preventive, by many who were subject to n re
currence of tiio Chill* and Fever and it lias al
ways warded off the apprehended attack.
