Mineral Paints,” which you have put on my Muchlne
Shop and Planing Mill. I give you with pleasure my full
and hearty recommendation or it as a preventive of ffro
communicating from chimneys, orfrom adjoining build
ings. The Paint which you pi t on my roofs, has now
become u* hard ushlatk, and I feel ns secure from flru,
in this directum, us I* possible A few weeks after the
roofs had heed painted, I made nit experiment on (wo or
three shingles by placing them In the furnace under the
boilers; Die result w«s, that the portion uncovered was
entirely consumed, while the pointed purl was apparent
ly sound, though upon examination llte wood was found
