auspices no murh has been accomplished in behalf
of public achool education in our midat.

5. An address by Rev. George Clark, of Saint
John'* Church.

Seldom has it been our pleasure to witness a
more interesting apectacle—one not only interest
ing in itself considered, but doubly eo when iia
present object*' and ita influence upon the future
deatinie* of the rising generation are taken into
account; and the presence of so many of our moat
respectable citizen* agreeably testifies to the inter
est existing in the public mind in behalf of learn
ing in onr city.
The report of Mr. Stoddard conveyed the usual
statistical information relative to tho Fund, the
coat ol tbe building, dec., and concluded by elating
that provisions bad been made for two hoodrvd
