SILVER’S PLASTIC PAINTS.
Cheap, Dmrable and Protective.
WEATHER AND FIRE PROOF.
T HIB PAINT will stand My climate, without crack
or blister and hardens by exposure, thus making in
time au enamel of stone, protecting Wood from decay,
Md Iron and other metals from rust and coroston.
This Paint differa from the socalled Mineral Paint* of
the day, which are principally Ochres Md Clays colored,
Md are entirely worthless.
Silver's Plastic Paints are purely metallic, containing
no Alumin or Clay.
They are levigated finely, mix readily with Linseed Oil,
1 without the trouble of grinding,) Md flow under the
irush as freely as the beet White Lead.
These Paints excel all others In body or covering pro
perties, one pound of which wOl cover as much surface
aa two pounds of White Lead.
There are fonr natural colors, vix: Black or Slate,
Brown, Olive and Chocolate.
Dtacctxoxs: This Paint flows readUy under the brush
and its covering property to increased by nting it mixed
as thickly as possible with pore Uneeed OU: aa the Paint
is the lasting or protecting body and the Oil simply the
medium or agent in spreading it.

Steam Planing Mills.
Du* 8tx:—You ask me for my opinion of “Silver’s
Mineral Paints,” which you hare put on my Machine
Shop and Planing Mill. 1 give yon with pleasure my full
—, l—. of it m a preventive of '
fire
and hearty recommendation of it as a preventive
communicating from chimneys, or from atUoining build
ings. The Paint which yon put on my roofs, has now be
come as hard as slate, and I feel as secure from fire, in
this direction, as is possible. A few weeks after the roofs
had been painted. 1 made an experiment on two or three
shingles by placing them in the furn.ve under the boUeri
the result was. that the portion uncovered was entirely
consumed, while the painted pert was apparently sound,
though upon examination the wood wu found to b"
charred; the paint, however, was firm and hut little blis
tered. I consider this a# severe a test as your Paint can
bo put to, and under the circumstances I do not hesitate
to commend it os an invaluable preventive against fire.
Respectfully, Ac.
(Signed) AMBROSE SPENCER.
