SILVER’S PLASTIC PAINTS.
Cheap, Durable and Protective.
WEATHER AND FIRE PROOF.
T HIS PAINT will stand any climate, without crack
or blUtor and hardens by exposure, thus making In
time an enamel of stone, protecting Wood from decay,
and Iron and other metals from rust nnd coroslon.
Tills Paint differs from tho so-called Sllnerol Paints of
tho day, which are principally Ochres and Clays colored,
and are entirely worthless.
Silver’s Plastic Paints are purely metallic, containing
no Alumin or ('lay.
Tbey are levigated finely, mix readily with Linseed Oil,
(without tho troullo of grinding,) and flow under the
brush as freely as the host Whito Lead.
These Paints excel all others In body or covering pro
perties, one pound of which will cover os much surfitco
os two pounds of Whito Lead.
There are four nnturnl colors, viz: Block or Slate,
Brown, Olive and Chocolate.
Directions : This Paint flows readily under the brush
and Its covering property is increased by using it mixed
as thickly as possible with pure Linseed Oil; as the Point
Is the lasting or protecting body and the Oil simply the
medinm or agent in spreading it.

ings. Tho Point which yon put on my rooft, bos now bo-
como as hnrd as slate, nnd 1 feel ns secure from fire, in
this direction, a* is possible. A few weeks alter tho roofo
had been painted, I made an experiment on two or three
shingles by placing them in tho furnace under tho boilers
tho result was, that the portion uncovered was entirely
consumed, while the painted part was apparently sound,
though upon examination the wood was (bund to be
charred; tho mint, however, was firm nnd hut little blis
tered. I consider this ns severe a test ns your Point can
be put to. ami Under tho circumstances I do not hesitate
to commend It as an invaluable preventive against fire.
Respectfully. Ac.
