SILVER'S PLASTIC FAINTS.
Cheap, Durable and Protective*
WEATHER AND FIRE PROOF,
fflins PAINT will stand any climate, without crack
M. or blister and hardens by exposure, thus making In
thus an enamel of atone, protecting Wood from decay,
and Iron and othor metals from rust and corosion.
This Point differs from the socallod Mineral Paints of
tho day, which are principally Ochrea and Clays colored,
and are entirely worthless.
Sliver’s Plastic Points are purely metallic, containing
no Almnln or Clay.
They are levigated finely, mix readily with Linseed Oil,
(without the trouble of grinding,) and flow under the
brush as freely os the bust White Lead.
Thcso Paints excel all others In body or covering pro
perties, one pound of which will covur as much surface
as two pounds of Whlto Load.
There are four natural colors, vis: Black or Slate,
Brown, Olive nnd Chocolato.
Diaecnoxs: This Paint flows readily under the brush
and Its covering property Is increased by using it mixed
as thickly as possible with puro Linseed Oil; aa the Paint
Is the lasting or protecting body and tho Oil simply thu
ledium or agent In spreading it.

Steam Planing .Mills,;
Dux 8ms—Yon ask me for my opinion of “Silver's
Mineral Points,” which you have put on my Machine
8hop and Planing Mill. I give yon with pleasure my foil
and hearty recommendation of it as a preventive of fire
communicating from chimneys, or from adjoining build
ing*. Tho l’alnt which yon put on my roofs, has now bo-
come as hard as slate, and I feel as secure from fire, In
this direction, as Is possible. A few weeks after the roofs
bad been painted, I made an experiment on two or three
shingles by placing them In the fumteo under the boiler*
tho result was, that the portion uncovered was entirely
consumed, while tbo painted port was apparently sound,
though upon examination tho wood was found to be
charred: tho point, however, was mu and but little blis
tered. I consider this as severe a test os ynnr Paint can
be put to, aud uudor the circumstances I do not hesitate
to commend it as an Invaluable preventive against fire.
Respectfully, Ac.
(Signed) AMBROSE SPENCER.
