The Geoi'Ktau on the Conference Dill.
We wero pleased with tho independence of our

Tho Georyian rovlews tho bill of Mr. English,
nnd denounces it ns opposed entirely to tho posi

It cbnraetrrisos it as direct congressional interven

The nrticlo concludes ns follows :
“We have thus explain*,I as briefly as possihlo

If it is adopted, and we think it will bo, tur opin

Resumption In South Carolina.
The Churlerton Mtnwy .,( M.-nday contains a
long article attempting to prove that the banks of
Sou'li Carolina should, ns u matter of right nnd

until ihe next crop shall have como into market.—
Thu uriicio smells strongly of ihe bunk parlor, and
to our mind is an titteiii) t to forestall public opin

were more lionwt to acknowledge at once tho exi

We shall not ntteinpt an answer to tho fallacious
