Mr Editor:• -Front ha-ty glances at
the press I see tho people in many
parts of Georgia are speaking on the
New Constitution and the Capital ques
tion, while but little if any public ex
pression, save through Graml Juries,
has cotnc front tht wire-grass section.
Is it not time Wayne was ri.-ieg up
and speaking too ? I know wc arc al
most solid for ratification and jNtill
cdgevillo, hut wo need an awakening
from the political lethargy into which
we have fallen. I know of no Letter
way of bringing about tlrs result than
by assembling the p mp'o in oF-fa-hion
cil mass-meetings and let them speak
for themselves on these questions that
are to (ff else much the material in
terest of il’l.
I know a great many of our people
feel an interest in these questions, but
wo must, in order to arouse public
spirit, “forgot not to communicate.”
.Meet together and interchange views in
regard to the measures wo dcsttc ac
complished. The b.-st means to secure
tlmr success; in a word, let your neigh
bor feel that you nre in earnest, and ho
will become interested. If wo can, in
this or any other way, arouse our whole
people, many will bo astonished on tho
sth of Decnmber at the small numb r
of votes that have usually boon polled
in Wayne, Respectfully,
Pluck.
