became frightened and ran out in

when suddenly, tbe buggy came to
a hault by the shafts being broken
and kicked loose from the baggy by
the horse in his excitement. Both
the ladies were holding a firm grip
on the reins and were palled over
the dashboard before they loosed
their grip. Fortunately, both es¬
caped serious injury.
