Sec. 1st. Kvsulred by the mayor and
Aidennan in council assemlded, that an
advalorum tax of one and one-half mills on

Resolved further that in addition to tin
ad valorem lax on real and personal proper¬

1 Upon every keeper of a hotel $10.00
P annum.
2. Upon every keeper of a lioardiug
bouse $5.00 per annum.
Provided, tliat the word hotel, as used
in this oidfuance, shall he construed to ap
ply to all persons who drum fm or solicit
trau#Umt custom. 1'rovubci further that
i-u.vision of this ordinance shall not
to persons hoarding only pupils at¬
tending school, or school teachers, iu said
