The next teacher’s meeting will
beheld on Saturday May 18th.
Teachers will please not forget
to have their reports signed by an
officer before sending them in.
The two schools visited by me
last week are doing good work.
Mr. James Clary of the Long
school is a very earnest teacher
and is indeed a model for his pu
pils. The reading by the pupils
was about the best we have heard
in any school. The school room
aud yards are very neat and clean.
The Long school has made much
improvement since the Mr. Clary
has been in charge.
The other school visited wa3 the
Carter school taught by Mr. W.
M. Walden. He is a most ener
getic teacher and the Hohool is
moving along nicely.
Miss Louise Coyle of Tennessee
opened the Midway school Mon
day. The school has bright pros
pects while in her care.
The,Meridian school opened
Monday with Miss Emma Elliot
of Dawsonvilie, Ga., as teacher.
Mr. Bryant Yeoumans is now
teaching the Oglethorpe school.
We wonder how many teachers
will report a library established
when their term ends.
Tlie five pupils n the county
giving the best answers to the
questions sent out last week will
receive as a premium a nice book.
The names of winners will be an
nounced laler.
