Kinnon, reviewer - duly appointed to view and mark out a contain

Order granted establishing a change in the Jesap and Hortense

A motion was made to allow the teachers regular pay for attend
ing the t'*acheas institute held in Blackahear, but the motion was
lost, Hitch r voting for, Madray and Morrison, against.
The < tgl'-thorpe school was given an assistant with a salary of $20.00
per month.
A p-tition from patrons of the McKm io i j dored school, was r -ad,
a-king (or a three months term instead of five, with the same ap
propriation. The petition was granted.
I he following resolution was r.*ad an l adopted: Res jived, that
our senator and Representative be further urged to secure the pas
save of a 1 iw making the legal age of sou .ol chtldra i from six to
twenty-one years, instead of the age limit as now established by law
Also that minors be not subject to road duty.
A resolution favoring ioc.il taxation was offered, but on motio, was
table tilt august meeting.
Board adjourned to meet the first Tuesday in August.

Upon the petition of H. W. Hirria, andoth t.s, asking fir a pub

ceived and the following reviewers be and they arc hereby appointed
to investigate said matter ani make their report t> thr .i -xt term of
this court viz: H. 'V. Harris, F. B. Gurr and J. R. Westberry, Sr.
Upon the petition of E. B. Jones an l ot'i -rs, it is or lered that Mrs.
Elleu O’Neal, be placed on the list of Coanty paupers and that she
be paid from County funds the sum of $1.00 per mmth until further
ordered.
J. H. Harvey, h. Roal Overseer of the 1217th, road district having
tendered his resignation as such overseer, ordered that the same be
accepted.
Captain R. M. Millikin, aud others, appeared in behalf of the
Wayne Light Troop and asked that the recommendation of the
Grand Jury be carried in to effect in r-gard tc that organization
On motion action cn same was deferre t until next regular meeting.
Ordered that Allen Porter be paid $3.03 per incut t instei-l of 5.0Q
heretofore. Upon motion ordered that addition be added be ad
( [ e( j to jail in accordance with plans a id "pecifications submitted by
S. A. Baker, including wall around jail. Ordered further bids be
advertised tor this work iu accordance with said plans.
Ordered that work be suspended ou “Go >ie Gfeex” road and work

Court adjourned uutil First Tuesiay in August, 1907.

Hush V. Taylor
Little Hugh V Taylor, youngest
son of Mr. and Mrs. H. 15. Taylor,
ot Jesup, died Saturday night at
eleven o’clock June 29. He was
eight vears old and was s:ck with
fever about ten days.
Ha vas the brightest boy of his
age perhaps in Jesup. A favorite
of all who knew him. He was
devoted to his parents and his
grandfathei, who Hvps with the
family. The funeral was conduc
ted nt the Wayne HotM Sunday
evening. The Bap’ist Sunday
School attended in a body. R*-v,
