buying every bale of spots they can.
Europe sent heavy buying orders to
New Orleans on the opening.
Takings of American spinners to
date are 215,000 in excess of last
year. Cotton was cheap then and
trade good.
Director North, 'f the census bu
reau, refused to grant the request of
the New Orleans Exchange to issue
the ginners* on Jan. 9th instead of
the 8thv so the most important docu
ment of the crop will be issued with
the greatest market closed.
