that one could easily spot the good-dressers who buy their
furnishings exclusively at H., J. & Co.’s.
And because we. are the recognized leaders, the big price cuts

“So you werkn’t. In the cyclone?"
said a young man I he other day in
speaking to a Jrlend whom lie had
hailed 6n Washington street, “and
you don’t know what it is to be in
one?"
“As It happened I was right on the
line that cyclone had picked out to
do its dirty work. I was walking fast
towards the city when I heard a
noise in my rear. I turned around and
saw that great lie*p of wind, describ
ing an.‘e,’ rushing right at me. I duck
ed and it passed over my head. A lit
tle o' the cyclone broke off just as it'
reached me, and this fragment struck
me in the right eyebrow, displacing
sevcrnl hairs.
“I watched the cyclone as it kept
on. It took up one house from 1 ts
foundation, carried it twenty feet,
and laid It down. The occupants of
the house wore eating dinner at t,he
time, and none o! th^m knew that
a cyclone had passed, until one of
them observed that it had blown the
butter out o' some sweet milk.
“Well, sir, that cyclone kept on go
ing, just as if nothing had happened.
I saw it take up o^e man and sit him
in his girl's lap. It blew the clothes
on a fellow that was sleeping in bed,
and blew another fellow’s nose.
“It was a great cyclone, and I en
joyed it very much."
Of course, the one spoken to called
the other several varieties of liars,
hut the string of epithets he attach
ed to each, the Idle Vein man does
not feel he should produce.

ADVICE
The human EYE is the
most delicate organ of the hu
man system.
A watch is a delicate pjece
of mechanism and would wear
out if not kept in repair by
the proper person.
The same would apply to
your EYES. Should they be
come affected then the oculist
should be consulted who knows
all about the optical require
ments and can give you the
proper ADVICE. SEE?
